an evening of respite…

So, this evening, for the first time in a month, it was lovely.  around 73 degrees, slight breeze, the smell of fresh cut grass.  As part of a workshop through, I am tasked to shoot some flowers.  There aren’t many in my yard…in fact, the only thing in my yard is a hydrangea bush whose flowers look a bit antique by now.  But the more I play, the more I enjoy the weather, and take advantage of this little respite from the heat and humidity, the more I settle into a bit of a rhythm.  On the ground, on my knees, looking up, looking down.  Trying to isolate what bit of color is left among the dried out grass and slowly darkening sky.
